Edwin
Gentle, wise, and quietly curious, Edwin is the steady compass at Edgemoor Academy. With his classic brown feathers, scholarly clipboard, and ever-thoughtful expression, he supports learners across all grade levels in subjects like math, history, social studies, science, and reading.
Edwin is the kind of owl who loves warm pancakes, tidy notes, and long afternoons spent solving mysteries or mapping the stars. He’s a thinker, a tinkerer, and a gentle guide who always knows just when to pause, smile, and offer encouragement. His calm presence brings confidence to students, especially when they’re learning something new or complex.
As the official mascot for logic, social studies, and big-picture thinking, Edwin blends classic charm with academic curiosity. He’s Sophia’s loyal best friend and lifelong library companion, sharing a cozy treehouse filled with books, learning tools, and the occasional stack of syrupy pancakes.

Sophia
Sweet, clever, and endlessly curious, Sophia is the heart of discovery at Edgemoor Academy. With her soft gray feathers, signature pink bow, and twinkle in her eye, she inspires students across all grade levels to love reading, writing, and exploring the wonders of science.
Sophia is the kind of owl who always carries a book in one wing and a magnifying glass in the other. She believes stories can change the world, flowers deserve to be admired, and the smallest creatures often have the biggest lessons to teach. Whether she’s helping learners decode a poem or explore the solar system, Sophia is there with a gentle nudge, a warm smile, and maybe even a cup of hot cocoa in hand.
As the official mascot for all things ELA and science, Sophia brings a spark of joy and a calming presence to every lesson. She’s nurturing yet bold, a mix of timeless charm and intellectual curiosity.
Students grow up with her by their side, watching her lead nature walks, scribble stories in the margins, and peek through microscopes with wonder. To them, she’s not just a guide—she’s a friend, a mentor, and a symbol of what learning should feel like: joyful, thoughtful, and full of possibility.
